The first AII Committee of Senior Officials under Albanian Chairmanship took place online on October 19th back to back with the first session of the 16th EUSAIR Governing Board.

 

The AII Permanent Secretariat Programme of the Activities was presented together with the Priorities and indicative calendar of events of the Albanian Chairmanship (for the period 1 June 2021 – 31 May 2021) with a particular focus on four key priorities:

  1. Youth and all-inclusiveness
  2. European Integration and Green Agenda
  3. Tourism and Culture
  4. Connectivity

Senior Officials have been also informed about the recent activities the AII Permanent Secretariat is promoting for youth and younger generations.

The second edition of the Call IMAGINE – Active Young Citizens for Sustainable Development in AII and CEI areas - with the aim of encouraging students to deepen their knowledge of the activities promoted by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda and its 17 SDGs.

The Call for Application for 10 two-years scholarships founded by the Adriatic Ionian Initiative Permanent Secretariat Foundation which will be granted to students coming from the Adriatic-Ionian region and the Western Balkans for enrolment in one of the four master's degree courses taught in English at the Marche Polytechnic University (International Economics and Commerce, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Food and Beverage Innovation and Management).

Senior officials were also briefed about the outcomes of the recent meetings with the newly elected President (and Vice-Presidents) of the Forum of the Adriatic Ionian Chambers of Commerce and of the technical meetings between the Chairmanship-in-office and the Permanent Secretariat.
