AII ROUND TABLE ON TRANSPORTS AND ENERGY CONNECTIONS – ATHENS, 29 MARCH 2017
H.E. Ambassador Fabio Pigliapoco, AII Secretary General, attended the Round Table on Transports and Energy Connections, which took place in Athens (Greece) on the 29th of March 2017, organized by the AII Hellenic Chairmanship in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructures.
The Round Table focused on liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering and small-scale LNG initiatives, and on developing infrastructure network for the deployment of LNG as a marine fuel and in road transport, sharing best practices and pilot projects.
Representatives of the civil society and the private sector (Universities, Research Centres, etc) attending the meeting contributed to a lively and well-focused debate. The moderators decided to forward minutes and recommendations ( now in preparation ) to the relevant EUSAIR Thematic Steering Group of Pillar 2 (Connecting the Region), which will meet on 20-21 April in Rome.
