OPEN CALL – IMAGINE - ACTIVE YOUNG CITIZENS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL EUROPEAN INITIATIVE AND ADRIATIC IONIAN INITIATIVE AREAS
We are glad to announce the launch of the 2nd edition of the Call for Ideas and Award Competition “IMAGINE” Active Young Citizens for Sustainable Development in Central European Initiative and Adriatic Ionian Initiative designed to stimulate the engagement of youth in the Central European Initiative and the Adriatic Ionian Initiative regions in the framework of the United Nations Agenda 2030for Sustainable Development.
The overall objective of the initiative is to raise awareness of CEI and AII countries’ high school students on the UN Agenda 2030 (UNA2030) and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a learning process and the participation in this Call designed for stimulating high schools in getting acquainted with the UNA2030 and reflecting on the contribution that they could provide to its implementation at local level.
The 2nd edition of the Call is aimed at receiving ideas from high-school students falling into one or more of the three UNA2030 dimensions: social sustainability, economic sustainability and environmental sustainability.
Eligibility: The Competition is open only to public and private high schools (secondary education institutions) based and registered in a CEI / AII Member State (students from 14 to 19 years of age). The Applicant is to be a representative of the school (teacher, principal, dean).
Submission of ideas: 14 – 28 February 2022.
Deadline: 28 February 2022, 11:59 pm UTC+1).
Compensation: study visits to the UN Headquarters in New York.

In this context, we are also pleased to announce the launch of a Call for Proposals for the elaboration of an “IMAGINE” logo design to be used for the forthcoming editions of the Call for Ideas.
Applicants (the same as for the above competition) are requested to elaborate a logo that reflects the spirit of “IMAGINE” which is designed to raise the awareness of the CEI and AII countries’ high school students on the UN Agenda 2030 (UNA2030) and its Sustainable Development Goals and stimulate their engagement through a participation in a Call for Ideas and Award Competition.
The logo will have to be simple, modern, vibrant and innovative. It shall be easily recognisable and, as such, should stand out and be different from other logos.
Deadline for submission of logo proposals: 15 December 2021 (23:59 CEST).
Compensation: The winning institution will be awarded with a total amount of 1,000 EUR.
