The first AII Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) under Hellenic Chairmanship was held in Brussels on October 9, 2024.
The Calendar of events and the priorities of the current year (1 June 2024 – 31 May 2025) of the AII Greek Chairmanship were presented together with a Programme of activities of the Permanent Secretariat.
The meeting, focused on key priorities of the Hellenic Presidency, including the sustainability of natural and cultural landscapes, youth empowerment, mitigation of marine pollution, and enhanced regional connectivity. Discussions also covered upcoming events and collaborations, particularly with civil society and academic networks, to address challenges in the Adriatic-Ionian region. On October 10, 2024, the 23rd Governing Board meeting of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) took place. During the session, Ambassador Pigliapoco reported on the outcomes of the CSO meeting held the previous day.
